Notably, the state government had announced last year that a 100-metre tall statue of Ram would be constructed on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya at the cost of Rs 330 crore.
Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey also said that Adityanath had made some plans for Ayodhya and ‘good news’ will be announced on Diwali.

“Yogi Adityanath is not only a chief minister but also a saint.
He surely has plans for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Wait for Diwali, good news will be announced,” the state BJP president told reporters.
The politically-sensitive development took place on a day when the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) hinted at a 1992-like agitation for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
On the last day of an RSS conclave, its spokesperson Bhaiyyaji Joshi said the organisation would plan a 1992-style agitation if the need arises, expressing disappointment over delay in the Supreme Court verdict.
On Thursday, BJP MP Rakesh Sinha said he would bring a private member’s bill for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Sinha asked opposition leaders including Congress president Rahul Gandhi whether they will support it.
He said the onus is now on the opposition leaders and he is asking a clear-cut question as now is the time to separate truth from lies.
The apex court on Monday ordered to list the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title suit in January 2019 for fixing the date of hearing. Following the top court order, the demand for enacting a law for construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya has resurfaced.
