Filmmaker Abhinay Deo talked about Irrfan Khan’s health on the sidelines song launch here in Mumbai.
Irrfan Khan made his fans restless as he shared a post talking about a rare disease as he skipped the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Blackmail’ whereas filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj postponed the shoot of his next with him and Deepika Padukone.
Actor Irrfan Khan had released a statement revealing that he has been diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine tumor.
Actor Irrfan Khan issues a statement on the social media. He wrote, “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes.”

He had also clarified that in the post that contrary to the rumors that were floating around, ‘NEURO’ is not always about the brain and that googling is not always the easiest way to research.
He wrote, “As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell”
In fact, like always Irrfan Khan also shared an inspirational and emotional quote by Margaret Mitchell – “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect”
Blackmail director Abhinay Deo opened up about Irrfan Khan’s health and stated we should respect his privacy.
Talking about Irrfan, filmmaker Abhinay said, “I met him, he is fine and in good spirits, that is, of course, we know that he is not well. So I think he is right now away for his treatment and we should respect the family and their privacy on this particular matter. I don’t have anything more to share with you, till now we know as much as you know”
The entire team of Blackmail, which included Kirti Kulharai, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh and Omi Vaidya were present at the film promotion.
Award winning actress Divya Dutta, who has worked with Irrfan Khan in four films also spoke about her experience of working with the veteran star.
She said, “I have done about four films with him. When I first met him on the sets of Dubai Returns, I got to know what Irrfan Khan is all about. We would not rehearse and he would very charming smiles and say, we will see it in shot”
“And during the shot the magic he would create and improvise, I think it is a treat for actors, because acting is all about reactions, and when you have someone like Irrfan Khan in front of you, one doesn’t really need to work hard”
Further adding Divya Dutta said, “I am really waiting for him to come back and give us some more magical films”
Blackmail is an upcoming black comedy drama film co-produced and directed by Abhinay Deo.
The film is produced under the banner of T-Series, releasing on 6th April 2018.
