La Martiniere Girls’ College, Lucknow celebrated their Annual Junior School Concert, on 2nd and 3rd November 2017. It was that time of the year when the accomplishments of the children of the Junior School, outside the classroom, were observed and appreciated. This is in keeping with the mission of the school to provide holistic and all-round development to the students of La Martiniere Girls’ College.
Decorated the evening with Different colors of India:
• The evening began with a Welcome Songby the Boarders of the Junior School.
• Children of different sections of Class Two showcased a variety of dances.
• In addition to which the children of Class 2-B presented an action song in which they thanked God for all His Blessings.
• Students of Class Three mesmerized the audience with their presentations. They presented folk dances of Rajasthan, Bengal, Punjab, and Goa respectively.
• A batch of class three also presented ‘The Song of Celebration’, which in addition was written and composed by the children of the Junior School.
• Furthermore, students of Class 4E presented the Line Dance which is a type of country and western dance.
• The Orchestra played some beautiful melodies and kept all the parents involved with their excellent music.
• There was a medley of English and Hindi songs sung by two different groups.
• Manya Sharma and Lavanya Mishra sang a duet while there were a few solo performances too.
• ‘Kathak’ by GungeetSachdeva, ‘A dance using the hoola hoop’ by RitikaJalota and ‘A fusion dance’ by Arushi Kapoor.
• Shania Morrison sang, ‘I have a Dream’ and Riddhi Tiwari, a little girl of Class Two, enthralled everyone with the way she played the drums.
• The children of Classes 4 and 5 transported the audience to a ‘Magical World’ with their musical play, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, based on the famous story by L. Frank Baum.
• Furthermore, the children of Classes 4 and 5 presented a BHaratnatyam performance which was the last performance of the evening
• The evening ended with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Mrs. A. Dass.
